Production of this coin began in 2023 when Croatia joined the euro. It was struck for circulation 2023-2025 but the 2026 issue appears to be for collector sets only. The use of coin is rapidly declining in Europe. Engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla is honored on the obverse.

Recorded mintage: 14,492,000 plus 7,500 for BU sets plus 500 proofs.

Specification: 5.74 g, brass (89% Cu-5% Al-5% Zn-1% Sn), 22.25 mm diameter, indented edge.
