This specimen was lot 3864 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €950 (about US$1,243 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"CORVEY, ABTEI, Florenz von der Velde, 1696-1714. Reichstaler 1709, Braunschweig. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, abbey of Corvey, Florent of the Velde, 1696-1714, thaler of 1709, Brunswick mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
This is a reissue of a type minted in 1706. This abbey was merged with Nassau in 1803 and later with Prussia.
