This hundred pesos is of a type issued for Colombia starting in 2012. A local plant endemic to the Colombian paramo, the frailejon, is featured on the reverse. For 2017, the mintage contract was divided between the government facility in Ibaque and the Kremnica mint in Czechoslovakia. As of October 2021, US$1 = 3,792 Colombian pesos, giving this coin a value of about 2.6 cents.
