Colombia 2017 1000 pesos

This bi-metallic 1000 pesos is of a type issued for Colombia starting in 2012. The obverse displays a sea turtle. For 2017, the mintage contract was divided between the government facility in Ibaque and the Kremnica mint in Czechoslovakia. As of October 2021, US$1 = 3,792 Colombian pesos, giving this coin a value of about 26 cents.

Recorded mintage: 140,900,000 (Ibague + Kremnica).

Specification: 9.95 g, bi-metallic (copper-nickel-zinc in aluminum bronze ring), 26.7 mm diameter.
