This specimen was lot 75264 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $89. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 2 Centavos, 1947-B. Bogota Mint. NGC MS-65. Only two graded higher at NGC." This copper-nickel two centavos was struck in Bogotá, of a type issued 1918-22 and 1933-47. A 1947/36 and 1947/3 overdates are noted but not this one with the boldly mispunched "4". The earlier dates were minted in Philadelphia or Denver. It was replaced by an aluminum-bronze type issued intermittently 1952-1965.
