This specimen was part of lot 44481 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (6) 50 Centavos, 1931 & 1932. Various Mints. EF-40, AU-53, AU-55, AU-58 (2), & Unc Detail--Cleaned (PCGS). ...1931, 1931-B, ...Restrepo type 414 and 415. From blast white to moderately gray toned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogota 1914-22, 1931-33 with a profusion of varieties and overdates. For this date, a rare variety without the "B" mintmark is noted (shown here).

Recorded mintage: 700,000 (including 1931-B).

Specification: 12.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .361 troy oz ASW, edge lettered DIOS LEI LIBERTAD.
