This specimen was lot 34094 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2024), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 5 Pesos, 1919. Bogota Mint. NGC MS-61. Fully Mint State, with scattered soft marks defining the assigned grade." This type was struck 1919-24 and superseded the "minero" type of 1913-19. This date comes with no mintmark, mintmark "A" and mintmark "B".
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 7.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, .234 troy oz AGW (same standard as a British sovereign).
