The first specimen was part of lot 44374 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (3) 5 Centavos, 1878, 1879, & 1883. Bogota Mint. AU-53 (2), AU-55. 3 pieces in lot. All with decent strike and bright, untoned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." The second specimen was part of lot 44233 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (2) 1/2 Decimos & (1) 5 Centavos, 1861-1878. Bogota Mint. VF-35, G-06 & Good Detail--Tooled (PCGS). 3 pieces in lot. 1861 1/2 Decimo, KM-124, Restrepo-223.3, even wear and light toning, 1871 1/2 Decimo, KM-150.1, Restrepo-256.4, date clear with scratches on reverse, and 1878 5 Centavos, most details clear with dark toning. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck in Bogota 1875-85 and is common.

Recorded mintage: 190,000, a common date.
