This specimen was part of lot 44224 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (4) 1/2 Decimos, 1860-1865. Bogota Mint. VF-20, VF-25, VF-30, EF-40 (PCGS). 4 pieces in lot. 1860 and 1861, full details, the 1860 with gray toning and 1861 untoned. 1864 and 1865, KM-144, Restrepo type 254, both dark gray toned, moderately struck. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This half décimo, an early effort at a decimal coinage, was accompanied by a silver one décimo of similar design (KM 125). It was issued 1859-62. Labeled "Confederacion Granadina," it superseded a similar coin stamped "Nueva Granada". An 1860/59 overdate exists.

Recorded mintage: unknown but the most available date.

Specification: 1.25 g, 0.900 fine silver.
