This specimen was lot 22411 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Peso, 1840/39-RS. Bogota Mint. NGC MS-63. WINGS Approved. Lightly toned with underlying soft satin luster." This type was struck 1837-46 at Bogotá and is common. The overdate shown here obtains a slight premium.
