Cologne (1423-25) goldgulden Fr-794
This specimen was lot 77231 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $930. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Cologne. Goldgulden, ND (1423-25). Bonn Mint. Dietrich II von Moers. PCGS AU-50. From the G. L. Hermann Collection." Note the trilobe reverse whereas the actual Fr-794 has a quadrilobe reverse. The listing in Numista for Felke-1066 shows this type, with a saint over arms on the obverse and the trilobe reverse with the central shield having an escutcheon. The uncial lettering is "THEOD[er]IC[us] A RC[hie]PI[scopus] COLO[niensis]" on the obverse and "MONE[ta] NOVA BVNE[nsis]" on the reverse.
