Chur 1649 2 kreuzer KM-101
This specimen was lot 3143 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$347 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Graubünden, Johann VI. Flugi von Aspermont, 1636-1661. 2 Kreuzer 1649, Chur. Zwittermünze mit Rückseitenstempel der Stadt Chur (MONE . NO . CVRIAE. RETIC . 1649). Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Gewellt. (Switzerland, bishopric of Chur, John of Aspermont, 1636-61, two kreuzer of 1649, Chur mint, muled with he reverse die of a municipal issue. Very rare, Very Fine, Wavy flan.)"
The reverse legend, "MONE. NO. CVRIAE. RETIC.," identified this as KM 101. KM 246, a municipal issue, was struck in the name of Ferdinand III even tho Switzerland had left the empire by the terms of the Peace of Westphalia.
