Sincona sale 73, lot 4227

This specimen was lot 4227 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$129 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Grisons | Chur, Bistum. Johann VI. Flugi von Aspermont, 1636-1661. 2 Kreuzer 1659, Chur. Selten. Fast sehr schön. (Switzerland, bishopric of Chur, Johann VI of Aspermont, 1636-61, two kreuzer of 1659, Chur mint. Rare, About very fine.)"

Chur, along with the rest of Switzerland, left the Empire in 1648 as part of the Treaty of Westphalia which ended the Thirty Years War. This is a one year type.
