This specimen was lot 33152 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2024), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 100 Yuan, 2007. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. On the 60th Anniversary of the foundation of the Mongolia Autonomous Region." Other hundred yuan for 2007 include KM 1710 (gold panda) and KM 1827 (Special Olympics). The Mongolia referred to here is Inner Mongolia, Outer Mongolia having obtained her independence in 1922.
