This specimen was lot 52156 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $4,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 7.2 Candareens (10 Cents), ND (1908). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-61 Gold Shield. Variety with dot at end of tail. A tremendously alluring minor presenting a great deal of argent brilliance and just some minor spots of darker toning near portions of the peripheries." This scarce type accompanied a 20 cents and a dollar.
