This specimen was lot 37839 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 20 Centavos, 1921-So. Santiago Mint. PCGS MS-65." Oscar Roty's defiant condor, first used in 1895, appeared on virtually all Chilean silver and copper-nickel coins until 1940. This type was struck in copper-nickel until 1929. It superseded KM 151.3 (3 g, 0.400 fine silver, 21.5 mm, m. 4,189,000), which was struck 1907-09, 1913, 1919-20.
