This specimen was lot 30355 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CHILE. 8 Escudos, 1820-SoFD. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, VF Details Secure Holder. From the Joseph Vas Collection." This type was struck 1818-34 in moderate quantities but increased demand has made this coin expensive.
