This specimen was lot 74046 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 1/2 Real, 1787/6-So DA. Santiago Mint. Charles III. PCGS VG-10. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck in moderate numbers 1773-89 and this is a higher mintage date. Even so, the few survivors are generally in poor condition. This example realized five times the catalog value.
