This specimen was lot 71274 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "CEYLON. 10 Cents, 1910. London Mint. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. A well struck, lustrous, and lightly toned coin, at the cusp of Gem quality." This type was struck 1902-03, 1907-10. The 1910 is a common date. Proofs exist but are not recorded for 1910. Ceylon, famous for tea, attained its independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka.
