This specimen was lot 20247 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $4,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "CAYMAN ISLANDS. 250 Dollars, 1986. PCGS PROOF-67 Deep Cameo. Mintage of only 64 pieces. Struck to commemorate the Commonwealth Games. Brilliant with hard mirror fields and frosted cameo devices." This rare type was accompanied by a silver five dollars (KM 80).

Recorded mintage: 64 proofs.

Specification: 47.54 g, 0.917 fine gold, 1.4015 troy oz AGW.
