Steve Album sale 55, lot 3282

This specimen was lot 3282 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA: Elizabeth II, 1952-1022, AR dollar, 2022, Master's Club Release - 35th Anniversary of the First 'Loonie' Dollar Coin, contains 2.015 troy ounces of pure silver and gilt highlighted elements, with COA and original Royal Canadian Mint deluxe wood case of issue, Proof. As per the Royal Canadian Mint, 'Your Master's Club exclusive celebrates the 35th anniversary of Canada’s one-dollar circulation coin with a special look back at a previous Loonie anniversary: the 1997 10th Anniversary of the Loon proof silver dollar. Recreated in a larger format and in pure silver—a higher purity than the original issue—the Flying Loon makes a splashy return on the eighth Renewed Silver Dollar coin, which features two modern updates on its reverse: selective gold plating and double dates ("1987-2022") commemorating the Loonie’s 35th anniversary.'" This NCLT is not listed in the SCWC; the Numista listing (N#546706) for it lacks a photo.
