SB1125-76339r.jpg

This specimen was lot 76339 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Gilt Platinum 300 Dollars (Ounce), 2022. Ottawa Mint. Elizabeth II. REVERSE PROOF-70. An enchantingly flawless example from the "Maple Leaf Forever" series, this specimen is also housed in a holder autographed by Susan Taylor." Another version of this NCLT was struck with different maple leaves on the reverse (KM 3274). Numista states, in wording probably taken from the mint booklet, "Set against a matte field, the reverse design features two sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaves: a classically rendered leaf in the background, and a multifaceted one in the foreground. Rose gold plating on the rim frames the engraving and highlights the foremost leaf, creating a striking colour contrast."

Recorded mintage: 425 proofs.

Specification: 31.16 g, 0.999 fine platinum, 30 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-3472.
