Steve Album sale 55, lot 3280

This specimen was lot 3280 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA: Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, AR 30 dollars, 2022, Signs of the Zodiac, contains 2.015 troy ounces of pure silver, with COA and original Royal Canadian Mint case of issue, Proof. Enhanced with selective color, the reverse design is an engraved celestial illustration of the Sun and Moon surrounded by the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Inspired by classical Greek sculpture, the figures representing each sign on the outer circle are paired with their corresponding glyph in the second band, which is set against a colorful night sky, and these are numbered based on their zodiacal order (beginning at the top and moving in a counterclockwise direction): Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces." In 2022, this denomination was used for KM 3242, KM 3243, KM 3244, KM 3245, KM 3246, KM 3247, KM 3248 (shown here) and KM 3750.
