This specimen was lot 3893 in Goldberg sale 67 (Los Angeles, January 2012), where it sold for $241.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 15 Dollars, 1998. Year of the Rabbitt. With certificate. Choice Brilliant Proof." This was issued for the Year of the Tiger; the Year of the Rabbit was 1999. This coin began a series of silver bullion coins featuring the Chinese zodiac.
Recorded mintage: 68,888.
Specification: 33.63 g, bimetallic (.925 fine silver and gold), 40 mm diameter.
