This specimen is one of a type struck at the Ottawa Mint for Canada 1982-89. The prior type (KM 60.2) was pure nickel. In 1990, the dePedery-Hunt bust of the queen was adopted.

Recorded mintage: 126,618,000 plus 157,037 proofs.

Specification: 4.54 g, copper-nickel, 21.2 mm diameter.
