This specimen was part of lot 31058 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), which sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI 7-Coin Mint Set 1951, KM 41/42a/48/43/44/45/46, Select - Gem UNC. A Choice set, nearly free of tone, with the plated nickel showing touches of rust at the edges." Canadian ten cent pieces for George VI come in two varieties; KM 35 (with "IND IMP") was issued 1937-47 and KM 44 (without "IND IMP") for 1948-52. This date is common.

Recorded mintage: 8,290,719.

Specification: 5.83 g, 0.800 fine silver, .15 troy oz ASW, 23.62 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by T. H. Paget and Emanuel Hahn.
