This specimen was lot 26242 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $94. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Cent 1943, MS65 Red ICCS, a pleasing Gem example with attractive coloration. From The Nikita Collection." This type, struck at Ottawa 1937-47, is common in all grades. The mintage of this date would not be surpassed until 1957.
