This specimen was lot 23247 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 50 Cents 1931, MS64 NGC, full icy white mint brilliance with just a few contact marks in the obverse fields. A choice coin with strong eye appeal." This type was struck for George V 1912-36 and this is a better date. In 1920, the silver was lowered from 0.925 fine to 0.800 fine.
