This specimen was lot 30268 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada, George V Cent 1931 MS66 Red and Brown PCGS, Royal Canadian mint. Of simply stellar preservation for the type, and ranking at the very highest level of preservation seen by PCGS, this lustrous cent offers abundant mint red color, dappled in light touches of steel blue patination. Truly admirable, and worthy of a premium bid." This type, struck at Ottawa 1920-36, is common in all grades tho the years 1922-25 are scarce. This date is not rare but is better in choice condition.
