This specimen was lot 32564 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 25 Cents 1928 MS65 NGC. Light silvery toning with unblemished fields and a first class appearance. A premium coin at this grade level and deserving of a strong bid." The type was struck in sterling silver 1912-19 and in 0.800 fine silver 1920-36. The depression which set in after World War One caused mintages to drop. No quarters were struck 1922-26.

Recorded mintage: 2,114,178, a common date.

Specification: 5.83 g, 0.800 fine silver, .150 troy oz ASW, 23.5 mm diameter, designed by E. B. MacKennal, reeded edge.
