This specimen was lot 23460 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 25 Cents 1927, MS64 PCGS and MS64 ICCS, full frosty white mint brilliance with virtually pristine surfaces, a choice example of this key date. From The Nikita Collection." The type was struck in sterling silver 1912-19 and in 0.800 fine silver 1920-36. The depression which set in after World War One caused mintages to drop. This date is scarce and rare in choice condition. No quarters were struck 1922-26.
