This specimen was lot 53987 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1927. Ottawa Mint. George V. PCGS MS-64 Brown." Canada, after issuing large cents 1858-1920, converted to small cents nearly identical to U. S. cents. This design, with the head of George V, was struck 1920-36. The years 1922-25 are scarce.
Recorded mintage: 3,553,928, a slightly better date.
Specification: 3.24 g, bronze, 19.1 mm diameter, plain edge.
