This specimen was lot 23501 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V gold Sovereign 1919-C, MS64 PCGS, lightly toned with full luster." The Ottawa mint struck sovereigns featuring Edward VII 1908-10 and George V 1911-19. The 1911 is the most common date.

Recorded mintage: 135,889.

Specification: 7.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, .235 troy oz AGW.
