This specimen was lot 22111 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $427. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 5 Cent, 1907. NGC MS-65. Multicolored toning." This type was struck 1902-10 for Edward VII. This date is common but not in this quality. The silver five cents was converted to nickel in 1922.
Recorded mintage: 5,200,000.
Specification: 1.15 g, 0.925 fine silver, 15.5 mm diameter.
