This specimen was lot 29461 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 10 Cents 1884 VF35 PCGS, London mint. A classic example with darker patina that clings to the devices and even wear that is consistent with the assigned grade. The lowest mintage year in the series with only 150,000 pieces struck, this is a lovely example of this date that is typically missing from many collections." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. Altho this is the lowest mintage date, the 1875-H, 1889 and 1893 "round 3" all catalog for more.
