This specimen was lot 881 in Jean Elsen sale 159 (Brussels, June 2024), where it sold for €340 (about US$437 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CAMBRAI, Archevêché, Maximilien de Berghes (1556-1570), AR écu (daldre), 1569. Au titre de Maximilien II. D/ Ecu de Berghes sous un heaume. R/ Aigle impériale couronnée. Belle patine. Très Beau. (archbishop of Cambrai, Maximilian de Berghes, 1556-70, silver écu or daalder of 1569, struck in the name of Maximilian II. Obverse: arms of de Berghes under a helmet; reverse: crowned imperial eagle. Nice patina, very fine.)"

Maximilian was bishop of Cambrai since 1556 and was promoted to archbishop by pope Pius IV in 1562 at the request of Philip II, who was reorganizing the church in the Spanish Netherlands. Cambrai was captured by Louis XIV in 1677 and annexed to France in 1678, where it remains.
