This specimen was lot 3061 in Sincona sale 3 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 1,050 CHF (about US$1,397 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "JUSTINIANUS I, 527-565 Mint of Constantinople Solidus 542/565. Officina Q. Obv. D N IVSTINI – ANVS PP AVG Helmeted, cuirassed bust facing. Shield with horseman device on l. shoulder; globe cruciger in r. hand. Rev. VICTORI – A AVGGG Q Angel standing facing, in r. hand staff with Staurogramstaff; in l. hand globe cruciger.
