This specimen was lot 29293 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Justinian I the Great (AD 527-565). AV solidus (21 mm, 4.50 g, 6h axis). Constantinople, 1st officina, AD 542-546. D N IVSTINI-AVS P P AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justinian facing, holding globus cruciger in right hand and shield decorated with horseman riding down enemy on left arm / VICTORI-A AVGGG, angel standing facing, holding long cross and globus cruciger; star to right; A//CONOB.
