This specimen was lot 1255 in Sedwick sale 12 (Winter Park, FL, October 2012), where it sold for $147.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Buenos Aires, Argentina, copper 1 real, 1840. Matte UNC with hint of original color, no problems." These coins are common in circulated condition. Another issue of 1854 (KM 10) concluded the series.
