This specimen was lot 55454 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. Taler, 1628-HS. Goslar or Zellerfeld Mint. Friedrich Ulrich. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, AU Details. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1627-35 and is common. It has a beaded inner border around the wild man. Duke Friedrich Ulrich ruled 1613-34.
