This specimen was lot 1873 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $595. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS: Elizabeth II, 1953-, AV 100 dollars, 1979-FM, Sir Francis Drake, mintage of only 3,216 coins, NGC graded PF70 UC, S." This product of the Franklin mint honors explorer and part-time pirate Sir Francis Drake.

Recorded mintage: 3,216 proofs.

Specification: 7.10 g, 0.900 fine gold.
