This specimen was lot 73384 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS. 100 Dollars, 1978-FM. Franklin Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Struck for the Coronation Jubilee. A brilliant Proof with mirrored fields and frosted raised devices." This product of the Franklin mint honors the 25th year of queen Elizabeth's reign.
