This specimen was lot 71152 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH HONDURAS. 25 Cents, 1894. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS AU-58 Gold Shield. Finest certified of the date on the PCGS population report. A boldly struck and lustrous survivor of this first year of issue with plenty of remaining luster displaying lovely light mottled tone." This type was struck 1894-97 and is not rare in worn condition.

Recorded mintage: 48,000 + 25 proofs.

Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver.
