The first specimen was lot 13076 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $2,232. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH HONDURAS. 10 Cents, 1894. NGC PROOF-63. Possibly only 25 minted according to KM. Toned. From the Demarete Collection." This one year type is not rare in circulated condition but the proofs are rare.
Recorded mintage: 126,000 plus 25 proofs.
Specification: 2.32 g, 0.925 fine silver.
