Brazil 1972 20 cruzeiros

This specimen was struck to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the independence of Brazil. We note the presence of Paris mint privy marks on the reverse; whether the coins were struck there or the dies were made there, we can't tell. it accompanied a gold 300 cruzeiros.

Recorded mintage: 502,000.

Specification: 18.04 g, .900 fine silver, 34.1 mm diameter, edge lettered SESQUICENTENARIO DA INDEPENDENCIA.
