Brazil 1922 400 reis

Shown is a copper-nickel 400 réis of the United States of Brazil. This is the regular issue, struck 1918-32 and 1935. It was accompanied by copper-nickel twenty, fifty, one hundred and two hundred réis. It is common in dealer junk boxes but scarce in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: 1,275,000.

Specification: 11.7 g, copper-nickel, 30.2 mm diameter.
