This specimen was lot 25130 in Heritage sale 61382 (Dallas, March 2024), where it sold for $252. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brazil: João VI 960 Reis 1821-B AU55 NGC, Bahia mint. Struck on a Spain Ferdinand VII 8 Reales (Seville mint). Rio Reverse variety." This silver 960 réis was minted at the Bahia mint 1818-22. These coins were usually struck over Spanish-American dollars but many other undertypes are known. Large quantities were produced, making this and the similar Rio issue the commonest Brazilian silver coin of the colonial period.
