This specimen was lot 20386 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,955. The catalog description[1] noted, "João VI Prince Regent gold 6400 Reis 1807R, AU58 NGC, fully lustrous and very close to mint state. From the Recife Collection of 6400 Reis." The type was struck 1805-17 with the portrait of João as Prince Regent (he later became king João VI).

Recorded mintage: 59,000.

Specification: 14.34 g, 0.917 fine gold, .423 troy oz AGW.
