Brandenburg-Ansbach 1629 1/2 thaler
This specimen was lot 71 in Künker sale 400 (Berlin, February 2024), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,373 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-ANSBACH, MARKGRAFSCHAFT, Friedrich, Albert und Christian, 1625-1634. 1/2 Reichstaler 1629, Nürnberg. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Frederick, Albert and Christian, 1625-34, half thaler of 1629, Nuremberg mint. Very rare in this quality, minor edge defects, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This one year type is not priced in the SCWC. A thaler also exists.
