This specimen was lot 848 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $510. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRANDENBURG: Georg & Albrecht, 1527-1545, AR thaler, 1542, scratches on obverse, lightly cleaned, VF, ex Dr. Vincent John Adams Flynn Collection (Noble Numismatics Sale 110, Lot 3013)." The Margravate of Brandenburg-Ansbach was ruled by the senior branch of the Hohenzollerns until the margrave sold out to Prussia in 1791 and moved to England. This type is listed for 1538-45. It is actually a joint coinage of Brandenburg-Ansbach and -Bayreuth.
